How do I manage staff or create a client account as an advisor?

How do you add team members to your account?
- Go to Staff and click the Invite Staff button in the top left corner.
- Invited members will be sent an email asking them to join your Sumday account.
- Staff will only have access to a demo organisation account and Advisor Basecamp without edit rights, this is sufficient access for the Sumday Academy. If you’d like them to have access to your firm’s file or a client file, please see ‘Assigning Staff to Organisations’ further below.
- If you can’t see the Invite Staff button, you may not have Administration level access, ask the owner of the account to give you this by selecting your name and updating the role.
- If you’re having trouble inviting team members, please reach out to support@sumday.io.
Staff roles and permissions
There are 3 roles, each with different access and ownership rights.
Owner
Has full access and ownership rights within the advisor organization. Each organization has only one designated owner who can manage the firm’s subscription and access all permissions available to Administrators and Advisors. The owner role can be transferred to another user through Advisor Basecamp.
Administrator
Has full access, excluding ownership rights. Administrators can add and remove staff members, edit staff details, and assign roles (Administrator or Advisor) to other team members. They hold all access permissions available to Advisors.
Advisor
Has essential access for most staff needs. Advisors can view and access the Sumday business portal for all clients assigned to them, providing sufficient access to manage client relationships.
How do you remove staff members?
- Go to Staff and click on the ‘…’ on the right hand side of the selected staff member
- Click Remove staff member
How do you add staff to a client’s accounts?
Click on the staff members name and assign to an organisation from the staff members individual user profile or go to the organisation and assign staff from there.

How to Create an Account for Your Client
- Log into your firms Sumday account and open the account menu in the top right corner.
- Select Switch Account and then click Add New Organisation +.
- Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Note: We know this is annoying, soon this feature will also be available in Basecamp as part of the improved advisor product.
