Sumday is a carbon accounting platform that helps businesses measure, manage, and report carbon emissions using financial data. This process involves associating emissions with purchases to create an accurate emissions profile.
The data Sumday needs is often held in a business's finance system or ERP system. Sumday users may need to engage their finance team or accountant to assist in exporting financial data from the finance system to import into Sumday.
There are three ways to import data from a finance system to Sumday:
- Export data from finance system to a CSV and import into Sumday.
- Xero Integration - connect your Xero account to Sumday
- API Connection - custom connection to your finance or ERP system with the support of an IT expert
💡 Tip: We recommend that you finalise your end of period procedures and adjustments prior to importing transaction into Sumday, this will help to ensure that the amounts in Sumday reconcile back to your finance system. And there is nothing more satisfying when the books balance - so try and keep it that way!
