How to set up a client in Sumday

Every client needs a subscription to Sumday. 

To set up a client's account in Sumday

  1. Sign in to Sumday
  2. Select the organisation drop down menu in the top right
  3. Select + Add new client account
  4. Select the relevant subscription type for the client
  5. Enter your payment details (if selecting a small business account)
  6. You will be billed monthly or annually based on your choice
  7. You can then bill your client for the subscription fees if you choose
  8. You can then invite your client into the account if you wish to

Setting up a Xero client in Sumday

To set up a Xero customer client and gain access to the 12 month free offer (until 31 March 2026), there are 2 options.

If you have access to the client's Xero organisation:

  1. Sign in to Sumday
  2. Select the organisation drop down menu in the top right
  3. Select + Add new client account
  4. Select Add Xero client
  5. You will be taken to the Xero login screen, here you enter the Xero credentials to select the client's Xero account to connect to Sumday
  6. You can then invite your client into the account if you wish to

If you don't have access to the client's Xero account, they can set up the Sumday account via the Xero app store to activate the 12 months free offer, and invite you in once set up:

  1. Search for Sumday in the Xero App Store
  2. Click "Get this app" 
  3. Create an organisation in the Sumday platform.
  4. Connect your Sumday and Xero organisations
  5. The client will then need to invite you into Sumday

The client will own the subscription if they set it up via their Xero app store. They can request the subscription be transferred to their advisor if preferred, by emailing our Sumday Support team at support@sumday.io
