Summary

Ember is an energy think tank that aims to accelerate the clean energy transition with data and policy. It publishes an Annual Report called “Global Electricity Review” which contains yearly electricity generation, capacity, emissions and demand data for a range of different geographies.

The EMBERs data set provides broad coverage of key electricity statistics including the grid emissions intensity associated with many geographies. The source does not provide data associated with Scope 3 Fuel and Energy Related activities which should be taken into account when incorporating this dataset into your inventory.
